I have 15+ years of experience working with children and seniors. I worked for several years at an Aftercare Program at The Charter School caring for 2nd graders. I also have experience with working with seniors. In particular I worked for years with a senior who had the onset of Alzheimer's Disease. I cared for her by helping her do simple chores (watering plants and laundry). We also spent the day grocery shopping, going to events in The Villages (bingo, dominos, volunteering, music, etc.). My goal was to be her good friend and enjoy our time together. I can personally say my goal was achieved. Recently, I cared for a woman who was wheelchair bound, due to a knee replacement that did not go well. My daily duties included preparing meals, wound care, doctor's visits and daily trips to The Village Hospital for infusions.
