About Lily

I was a member of AmeriCorps for 2 years, and ended up living with a family of four. Since the Spring of 2016 up until August 2016, part of that job entailed caring part-time for 2 boys. They were age 4 and 6. My daily routine consisted of meal prep and cooking for them, getting them ready for school, tooth brushing, picking out clothes, making sure it was all done on time. When summer came, we spent a lot more time together. They often had things to do during the day but we would to the morning routine and and they would help with chores and then we would play outside. It was very important to their parents that we spent time outdoors and I had no issues doing that as I love being outside and that was always a fantastic way to entertain the kids as their is always so much to do. A great deal of responsibility fell on me to keep the boys well fed, safe, happy and busy. I feel as if I did those things, and most importantly I loved every step of the way (:
