About Lilly

I am an advocate for literacy. I believe that it is our duty to support children as they grow and learn to read. The Science of Reading (SoR) has provided many great insights into how children learn to read. It is amazing how many doors reading opens. I believe that English is the gateway in America. For refugees or immigrants that come to this country, they will have little success without using the English language. It is a necessity. Survival. I've seen the first hand impacts that language barriers create. It is my duty to help others where I can, such as learning English. I've tutored elementary students who are just learning to read. I've also worked with adults to grow their language skills.
