I've known Lili for the past 10 years, and she's been babysitting for my own kids (current ages 5 and 8) for the past 6 years. I taught Lili for 4 years at her 5th to 8th grade middle school in New York City, and in that time, and across a multitude of contexts, I came to know her and her family very well. She is one of the most responsible, innovative, and intelligent young people it has ever been my pleasure to teach, and my trust in, and respect for, her is such that I trusted her to watch my daughter in her infancy. Lili is a responsible, responsive, and innovative young woman, and these traits lend themselves brilliantly to the work she does as a caretaker for young people, and the deep bond she is able to form with the kids she works with. She's a very hands-on babysitter who takes the time to read to and play games with the children she watches. My children think of her as an aunt or older cousin, and relish in the art projects and activities that Lili so joyfully engages them in when she is with them. In terms of levelheadedness and intelligence, you will not find a candidate who exceeds Lili. She has a level of maturity that inspires a deep trust, and is able to read the moods and needs of kids while exhibiting a preternatural calm and poise. She is a young woman of immense personal character who communicates well with parents and children. Hire her, and rest easy that your children are in capable hands.
