Experienced, educated, artistic and neuro-affirming career nanny based in Somerville is looking for a part-time (15-30hrs a week) nanny position. I'm Lilia (they/them) and I have over 10 years experience in childcare, and 4 years of experience in education as an ESL teacher and a paraprofessional in Cambridge Public Schools. I'm also an artist and a singer, and have a degrees in Visual Art/Photography and a certificate in Expressive Arts Therapy. I'm skilled at working with neurodivergent kids (autism, ADHD and PDA profiles) and I provide a nurturing environment that respects children's autonomy as well as supports their socio-emotional and physical development, encourages creativity, while keeping them safe and healthy. I'm the nanny who is engaged throughout my time with kids and I'm happy to take them outside to explore playgrounds, libraries and museums. Lilia took care of our 2-year-old for nearly a year, until we moved away this summer. She was very responsible, kind, caring, and super responsive and we always knew that our little one was safe and happy with her. She proactively and creatively provided a variety of activities tailored to his interests and age group, from arts and crafts to exploring parks and playgrounds in any weather. She provided intellectual stimulation and language learning (English was our kid's second language) as well as the opportunity to romp around outdoors. Lilia always communicated and responded promptly to needs of our family and made sure that we as parents felt as safe and happy as our toddler was. We simply loved having Lilia and whole-heartedly recommend working with her!
