This is the background check we require for all caregivers.

I have three years as a full-time caregiver and have also been an interim caregiver for about 7 years prior. I have various skills that benefit the client and always willing to listen and adjust according to the needs of the client and family. In my role as a caregiver it is not what I want but the needs of the client that is most important. Suggestions I may make to improve the well-being of the client, but always it must be their decision that is important. Skills we learn relevant to the needs of each person, but what I bring is gentleness, ability to listen and ready to help without complaining, a ready smile and a serene and pleasing personality, all given with respect and dignity.. Included in my character is honesty and integrity.

Lila has worked with my mother-in-law for two years and the overall quality of her performance has been and continues to be exceptional. She has a great attention to detail and structure, is very trustworthy in her care of both her client and household to which we have entrusted her in our absence. She has improved the quality of care in such crucial areas as nutrition, exercise, both sitting and standing, and maintaining steady walks around the house as part of the exercise routine. She encourages board and other games to stimulate the mind. She ensures regular water intake, weekly showers, checks body for any potential of breakdown of skin and makes semi-annual doctors’ check-up appointments as well as take the client to her appointments. She has made suggestions to keep my mother-in-law safe to prevent potential falls and she. manages and works well with the other caregivers. We listen to her suggestions, and implement where necessary, and she respects and acts on our input. Lila makes every attempt to report and keep the family informed through “family” texts and/or telephone calls of improvements, setbacks, and overall information about her client. She is an invaluable asset to us and because of her loving care of my mother-in-law, both my wife and I, and her sister, can relax our daily vigilance of the mother’s wellbeing knowing that she is in the best capable hands where there are lots of gentleness, love and yes, fun and laughter.
