About Liesl

Hi! I'm Liesl, a recent graduate from the University of Oregon with a degree in Biology and minor in Chemistry, hoping to go to medical school and become a pediatrician! I love all things math and science and love guiding children in harnessing their inner academic rockstar. I've worked for several years as an elementary and middle school Math and English tutor, in addition to working as a teaching assistant in AP Statistics and Algebra at a local high school! I'm excited for the opportunity to build children's confidence in themselves and their abilities to tackle tough subjects and tests. By listening to parents' and children's concerns and paying attention to each child's unique learning style and needs, I can enable children to succeed in and out of the classroom. Fun facts about me: - I'm a certified EMT! - I have played the violin and viola my whole life - There's nothing I love more than a powder day on the ski slopes :)
