Experience: 4 yrs
Starting in undergrad, I became interested in working with kids to promote healthy and active lives. I was a summer camp counselor for kids (between the ages of 5-15) for three years at the University of Minnesota. Within the camp, activities, skills, and games were constantly and uniquely provided. After graduation, I moved to Madison, WI and became a nanny for a family of three kids (between the ages of 3-9). I cared for those children like they were my own. Besides being outdoors and remaining active, the biggest highlight was always making healthy and creative after-school snacks. Not only did I have fun watching their expressions, the kids had a blast running inside wondering what I made them that day. My experience working with kids has always been enjoyable. Even the challenging moments provide good learning opportunities for both the children and myself. Overall, I love to inspire, learn, teach, and grow... kids often provide similar inspiration to me.
