About Lia

My Bachelor's degree was in Humanities with a concentration in literature. I have a multiple subject elementary school credential with CLAD certification. I received a high score on my RICA (Reading Instruction Comprehension Assessment). I did my student-teaching in a 5th grade class and in a 1st grade class. I have also volunteered in teaching ESL and am currently tutoring adult students in conversational English. I tutored in a center, for the same company, off and on for 16-years. In addition to my elementary training and experience, I have 12 Early Childhood units. I am CPR and first aid certified. I started as a preschool assistant 34-years ago in orange county and then also while in college in San Luis Obispo. I taught and assisted in a preschool in Temecula from 2004-Dec 2014 and currently work as a substitute preschool teacher at the same school. I have a passion for teaching early reading and writing, English and writing at all levels, and early childhood education.
