I have personal experience navigating the challenges that come with developmental disorders and mental health conditions, which has given me a deep understanding of the struggles many people face daily. Professionally, I worked for a home care company where I primarily assisted seniors, but I also supported young adults. My responsibilities included helping clients with daily tasks, running errands, and ensuring they could maintain their independence with dignity. This work strengthened my commitment to providing compassionate and inclusive care. I’ve also cared for children with conditions such as Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD). I helped them with emotional regulation, taking medications, changing clothes and diapers, practicing safe play, and engaging in sensory activities. I also supported them in building social skills and creating positive interactions with others.
