At 16, I tutored children; then obtained a B. A. in psychology at CU; then worked with adolescent psychiatric patients. Duties included tutoring. After success with MY children, I became a substitute. I'd describe my personality as open, non-judgemental, and inquisitive. I like tutoring because I like kids. I am very heartened when a child fully grasps a concept or skill. I'm looking for a job that provides the opportunity to not only help with schoolwork but to facilitate increased confidence and self-esteem of the student. I started tutoring when I was a teen volunteer. In my spare time, I like to spend time with my family and dog. One thing you should know about me is that I am very ethical and empathetic.
