Letitia has watched our daughter, who was born a preemie, as part of a nanny share from about age 4 months until recently, when she just turned 2 years old. Letitia has been an outstanding nanny to our daughter, providing a caring, educational and safe environment for our little girl. In addition, she has several years of experience with other families, and previous parents conveyed similar impressions of Letitia to us. Our daughter warmed up to Letitia immediately, and we could tell right away that she has a big heart for children. She was always patient and sweet with our daughter, while still providing structure and designated times for learning. They always had fun, taking trips to the park, Aquarium, the Zoo, Playhouse, and other wonderful outings. The only reason we are no longer employing Letitia as a nanny is because we decided to place our daughter into a daycare in anticipation of moving. Plus, the other child in the nanny share is starting full-time preschool in the Fall. Otherwise, we would absolutely continue to have Letitia as our nanny. She will be available in early September for full-time (40+ hours) employment, and would highly prefer the Wicker Park/Bucktown area (or within a 5-10 minute drive of the neighborhood). She has been working in the Wicker Park/Bucktown area for a few years and knows several nannies and families in the area, which facilitates play dates with other children. From the very first week, she began setting up play dates, which has helped with socialization. Letitia is open to single families, but I know she would prefer a nanny share.
