About Lesli

I graduated from UMKC with a BA in Secondary Education in 1991. (got another BA, in 1988). I am certified to teach social studies, speech and theater. I subbed from 1991-98 locally and worked 5 years at Temple Israel. I was a stay-at-home mom and then worked outside of education until the 2015-16 school year when I became a tutor. I worked with elementary OPS students from refugee families on reading and math. In 2017 I was hired as a sub paraprofessional by OPS. I have been a secondary sub teacher in OPS for 4 years. I have taught special education full-time for the past 3 years at Omaha North Magnet HS, being given temporary contracts each year because I am not certified in SPED. I co-taught with English teachers for 2 years and just finished co-teaching the ACP (Alternative Curriculum Program) class this past year. I live in NW Omaha. During the school year I am not available during school hours on weekdays.
