About Leslie

I have been a teacher of all ages from infants to 50-year-olds. I have taught preschool, elementary, middle, high school, and have also worked with college students. I am certified to teach in NY, MD, WV, and New Mexico to teach English Language Arts, Social Studies, Special Education, and Reading. I have been a teacher for 20 years and have a garage full of instructional materials to support learning and instruction. I am currently a reading specialist teaching remedial, advanced, and GED to middle and high school students. I begin with a reading test to determine reading level, check word accuracy, fluency, and comprehension. Depending on the level of the student, I tailor instruction accordingly. I currently work full time for a local Albuquerque school district. I am available after 4 p.m. weekdays and all-day weekends for tutoring services.
