About Leslie

I'm a stay at home mom and former K and 1st grade teacher. I'm passionate about helping students learn to read and write. My masters is in reading and literacy but I enjoy teaching all subjects. I'd describe my personality as caring, compassionate, and enthusiastic. I like tutoring because I think children can really flourish in a one on one setting. Extra practice is helpful outside of the classroom or in areas that students may need some extra support. I'm looking for a job that works with elementary aged students. I started tutoring when I graduated from Penn State. In my spare time, I like to spend time with my husband and two children. We love to travel, play tennis, and spend time at the pool and the beach. One thing you should know about me is that most of my job experience has been in child care and teaching. My skills include teaching engaging content and having patience while working with young students. I also have experience teaching English language learners.
