I am a young grandmother of 6 and very active. I have 7 grown kiddos of my own. I love children, learning and play time. During my child rearing years I had an in home day care for 6 years. I had the same 5 children the entire time. I have run my own businesses for 30 years. I am very organized, tidy, reliable, dependable, loyal, honest and enjoy cleaning. I am current on my CPR/AED/First-Aid certifications. I was a firefighter and first responder in my earlier years and remain amazingly calm in a crisis. (comes in handy with 7 kids and 6 grandkids) I am a positive forward thinking person. I love to do yoga, read, travel, hike, cook and enjoy quality time with my friends and family. Babysitter. We go to Steamboat every year and hire someone from Care.com. In all the years we have been vacation in Steamboat, Leslie was by far the best caretaker I have ever met (Care.com or otherwise). If I could convince her to come back to New York with me I would! Leslie is calm, collected, punctual (early in fact), responsible, resourceful, and all around lovely. She is extremely overqualified yet clearly loves children. I was able to ski all day without worry while she took care of my two kids (ages 1 and 3) and occasionally my sisters kids (4 and 6). We came back to happy kids who were being read to and extremely clean house (that was just an added bonus). I am happy to be a reference to anyone who would like to work with Leslie (she knows how to get in touch with me) and I sincerely hope that she is free and wants to work with us again next year when we return to Steamboat.
