About Leila

I have volunteered for various rescues here and in NYC for the past 10 years. I have fostered 10+ dogs, from puppies to seniors. I LOVE dogs - including my own who was a "foster fail." He's a big brown mutt and such a goofball. I like working with animals because they bring us a sense of peace in a chaotic world. Since childhood, I've always felt a deep bond with animals. I got a rollie-pollie cage for my 4th birthday (which didn't last too long). But since then I've had chickens, rats, guinea pigs and dogs. I'm looking forward to meeting your pet! I started working with animals when I was 2 years old if you count finding worms in the dirt. Haha. Otherwise, I started volunteering at dog rescues and fostering dogs when I was in middle school. One thing you should know about me is I am a Valley native who recently moved back to SF after 3 years of living in Brooklyn. My skills include patience, training with pulling on the leash, and being playful when it is appropriate.
