I worked as an Ophthalmic surgical technician for 17 years. My main duties included performing eye exams, surgical coordination, special testing & assisting the surgeon in cataract & LASIK surgeries. In the days I was not working in surgery, I worked as a substitute teacher at my kids' elementary school for two years. This averaged out to be about 3 days a week. I love children.
