About Leah

I have a genuine interest in fostering children's growth and development. With two years of experience caring for children of varying ages, I have honed my skills in creating a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for young minds to thrive. My patient and friendly nature allows me to connect easily with children, building trust and rapport. I believe in open communication with parents and provide regular updates, using their preferred method of communication. When it comes to household rules, I follow the parents' lead, ensuring consistency for the child. I love playing a variety of games with children, from outdoor sports and physical games to board games and educational games that promote learning. I hold CPR Training and am a Certified Nursing Assistant on a mother baby unit. I am comfortable caring for up to three children, ranging in age from infants to 12 years old. I am currently in school for my Masters in Science of Nursing at The University of Iowa.
