I'm looking for a part-time nanny position in Asheville where I can enjoy caring for a little one (or 2 or 3)! I previously worked as a preschool teacher at a childcare facility for 5. 5 years, where I gained experience with 6 wks old to age 12. I believe in learning through play, speaking with kids to expand their vocabulary, and teaching independence skills! I have experience with autistic kids, as well as kids with ADHD, ODD, and OCD, and often find myself connecting best with children whom other adults find "difficult." I have experience with potty-training and timely diapering procedures. As a nanny with daycare and preschool experience, I believe I bring the best of all childcare worlds: one-on-one care, teaching skills, and an understanding of state safety regulations! I'd love the opportunity to get to know you and your kiddo(s)!

Leah was my child's teacher at her preschool daycare for roughly a year, prior to her relocating. I had requested a teacher who would thoroughly communicate my child's progress as well as needs or recommendations. The school coordinator immediately recommended Ms. Leah. I couldn't be happier that she did. Leah was phenomenal with the kids & really treated them as individuals. Each situation was handled on a personal level appropriate to their needs & personalities, not just cookie cutter supervision. Ms. Leah was the perfect balance of structure to maintain order & give the kids stability, while still being fun & personable. There was never any doubt she cared & she has been deeply missed! My rambunctious kiddo still talks about Ms. Leah & compares other teachers to her. She's definitely been a blessing in our world. I still occasionally run things by her based on her knowledge of my child in the classroom setting. Our loss is definitely your gain 😉
