About Leah

Hello! I've spent several decades learning from my own companion animals including dogs, cats and chickens. A few years ago I retired from a career in medicine and have been engaged in various study and skill-building since. During that time I have enjoyed applying my caregiving skills towards tending the companion animals of others, including house sitting. I'm nurturing, attentive, reliable, detail oriented and an excellent communicator. I enjoy getting to know, and care for, animals of all kinds! I have experience across the species and age spectrum from puppies to senior dogs, as well as management of reactive dogs and medically complex companions. I take an ethical positive reinforcement approach to animal behavior. Please note that boarding and daycare opportunities are contingent upon mutual feasibility for my household that already contains one large dog.
