About Leah

I'm a 26-year-old graduate student and research assistant living in Milwaukee, WI. I have experience traveling and living abroad, and have been exposed to a variety of lifestyles, cultures, and people. These experiences make me able to easily adapt to different families and how they raise their children. I cared for a young boy extensively during summers (8AM-4PM) and later during weekend nights. Once his sister was born, I cared for them together. On and off, I cared for these two children for six years. I have experience with infants, toddlers, and young children. The parents of these children appreciated the games I created for their kids. I always interacted and engaged them in creative games that prompted their imagination. For example, we made obstacle courses, forts, treasure hunts, or "car garages" out of old refrigerator boxes I would bring along. Other strengths of mine as a caretaker include leaving the home clean and doing simple, thoughtful tasks.
