About Leah

I am San Franciscan turned New Orleanian educator. I did my first half of student teaching in California k-12. In Louisiana I've taught third grade for three years. In charter in New Orleans and traditional school in Jefferson Parish. I LOVE teaching English Language Arts, followed by my second love Science. I take somewhat of a non traditional route in my classroom often using art to teach. It gives me joy to see my students progress and I've found that art bring a element of joy that makes learning fun. I've tutored after school through my district for the past two years, second and third graders. It was so awesome to see their pre-and post tutoring data. All kids can grow academically. One on one tutoring is a great way to give them that extra push.
