About Laynie

My name is Laynie. I have 10 years of experience working with children. As an artist I find creative projects, and activities to be of great value in the life of a child. I love to organize activities designed to promote physical, mental and social development, such as games, arts and crafts, music, storytelling, and field trips etc. I practice non-violent communication and incorporate these values into my role as a caretaker when establishing rules for behavior and order. I encourage children to be understanding of themselves and others. I can make healthy, well-balanced snacks, maintain a child-friendly environment with access to outdoor activities. I can provide a variety of materials and resources for children to explore, manipulate and use, both in learning activities and in imaginative play. Ideally I'm looking for a position where I'm primarily teaching your child creative lessons and assisting them in accomplishing art projects, as a form of therapy in these strange times.
