Hello! My name is Layne and I am from the beautiful Shenandoah Valley of Virginia. I am currently a first grade teacher at a charter school. After two years of nannying [full-time] for a lovely family in Dallas, I was excited to begin my career in education. Working with the 30 students in my class has brought me immense joy and presented me with the opportunity for growth. I have loved helping students overcome challenges; witnessing their mastery of concepts they felt were too difficult to attempt is one of the most rewarding parts of the job. Though I am busy with this job, I am hoping to pick up a few extra hours of work throughout the week. I am open to tutoring K-2 students in any subject area.
