About Layne

Layne from Harrisonburg, VA Hello! I am proud Virginian and graduate of the University of Virginia with my BA in English. Currently I am working as a full-time teacher at a charter school. I am loving working with the 30 first graders in my class. As teaching keeps me busy during the week, I am looking for flexible, occasional babysitting jobs on weekend days/nights. Prior to teaching, I worked for 2 years as a full-time nanny for a family with three (now four) sweet children (aged 0-4). I have around eight years of experience working with children (nannying, camp counselor, in-school volunteer, teaching) and feel that it is one of my strongest attributes. Household upkeep, errands, and tutoring are all tasks that I would be happy to help with. Drawing, writing, crafting, and staying active (walking, running, swimming, etc.) are hobbies that I have enjoyed sharing with children I've cared for in the past. I appreciate your consideration!
