I have taken care of elders w/ dementia. Both in home & in a facility. I care very much about the people I work for & I am very patient, kind and at ease helping patients with dementia to have an easier time. Whether they have just started experiencing it or they are in the throes of it. With one of my patients I was the only one to get her to sleep through the night every night that I was there. I am not a certified nurses assistant I am not trained in the medical field but I have always had a big heart for senior citizens. As a kid I would visit the elder neighbors, some on an every day basis. As a professional, I was once hired direct by a family to spend the time with their Mom in a facility, keep her safe, content, and as active as possible. There was a team of us, so she was with someone 24/7. I was attentive, resourceful, and I enjoyed it. We all get old, and deserve dignity in our later years. Please reach out for private duty. Willing to get CNA, CPR, etc.

Laurie took care of my mother with dementia. My Mom was difficult and the staff was unable to handle her needs. There were so many accidents. Then we hired Laurie on a mutual friends referral and wow- she made a huge difference in my Mothers quality of life. Laurie kept diligent notes and was not afraid to speak up and call out staff at the nursing home for mistakes, these were RN's and she handled it so well. Thanks to Laurie we had our mother around for a couple more years, as Laurie had noticed something was wrong that the medical staff did not even pick up on. Highly recommended!!! A++
