About Laurie

I'd describe my personality as caring, calm, funny. I like caring for seniors because I'm a senior myself and understand the needs and wishes, and want to help them stay in their own home as long as possible. I'm looking for a job that is mutually respectful, and not too far away from my neighborhood. I started caring for seniors when my job caring for a 6-year-old ended, I was referred to a family that needed help with their elderly mother that lived with them, and discovered how much I enjoyed it. In my spare time, I like to paint, swim, ride bike, watch tv, read. One thing you should know about me is I am highly skilled in the kitchen, and extremely knowledgeable on nutrition, especially for older population. My skills include cooking, hairdressing, listening.
