Hi all, My name is Laurie and I am looking for a long term or a summer position starting in June 2025. I absolutely love taking care of infants and children. I am a warm, kind, and fun nanny. I have an associates degree in Early Childhood Education. I am CPR/First Aid and Water Safety trained. My experience has been with nannying and teaching in ECE Preschools ages birth to 6. I believe in creating opportunities for infants and young children to explore nature and the outdoors. Some examples of fun learning adventures are visiting a farm, the library, museums, nature walks, or the playground. I strive to provide a fun, safe, learning environment and I believe in play based learning! I enjoy setting up simple learning activities and reading to young children & babies. Laurie was my daughter’s nanny for the first year of her life. My daughter was 8 weeks premature and I was very nervous to leave her in anyone’s care. We couldn’t have asked for a better caregiver than Laurie - not only was she perfectly capable of caring for our baby, but she did so with the love and attention you’d expect of family. Laurie really did become family to us. My daughter is 16 months now and goes to a child care center, but still gets to see Laurie sometimes for babysitting and she gets SO EXCITED when Laurie is walking up our steps! She is calm, competent, and caring, and I am so grateful for everything she’s done for my family!
