About Laurie

Hi, my name is Laurie, I have 25+ years of experience taking care of children, 10 of which was working in a daycare setting and another 10 working at a fitness/community center in the childcare room. I was the supervisor for the kids room at a gym for a year and am well versed in 10+ ways to play tag, yoga(love cosmic kids) and many other sports and forms of exercise and play. I've worked as a coach and at recreation centers as well. I started as a mother's helper when I was 10 years old and have loved helping families and taking care of children ever since. I am not fluent in ASL or Swedish but I am currently taking courses to learn more. I love meditation and breathing exercises and try to implement those when I can. I also love crafting! I'm not very musically inclined but that never stops me from belting out tunes or having a dance party. I believe in good manners, respect, acknowledging behaviors and leading by example, but most importantly, having fun!
