I love making connections with patients and their families. My experience ranges from medication administration to more complex tasks such as wound and ostomy care. However what I found the most rewarding in my career was assisting with tasks that while viewed as simple, make the biggest difference in someone's day... helping someone take a warm bath, assisting them with a meal, combing their hair, brushing their teeth, etc. I resigned from my position a few years ago to provide care to my 3 special needs children. As they are entering school, I am looking to reenter the workforce in a part time capacity, hoping to once again connect with a family by providing heartfelt care to their loved one.
