About Laurie

Hello, my name is Laurie. I worked as an RN on a post surgical unit for 13 years. The last 4 years while working as RN I was the assistant manager of the post surgical floor. A couple of years ago I resigned to provide full time care to my 3 special needs children. I have absolutely loved being home with my children! But as time is a thief, my children are starting school and I was looking to re enter the workforce in a part time capacity. The combination of providing care to my own children in addition to the professionalism and responsibilities required of my previous RN job I feel make me an ideal care provider. I am warm, playful, with a positive disposition. I love to go for walks, do arts and crafts, and to just be plain silly with the kids so that we have a fun and engaged good old time! But I take my responsibilities as the care provider very seriously. I will uphold the family rules set forth and ensure I provide the type of care as I would want provided to my own children.
