Unfortunately, we did not have the best experience. We were needing someone to help us out in the morning for an hour. This included feeding our baby, labeling his bottles, changing his diaper, getting him dressed, and dropping him off at daycare. Lauren did not meet expectations and did not always follow instructions. For example, she did not label the bottles with babies name AND date (leaving daycare to write on his bottles), always left baby’s dirty clothes on the changing table, couch, washer, etc., never put burp clothes (full of spit up) in dirty clothes, sometimes left dirty diaper on changing table, and had poor communication. She only worked for us about 2 months and called in several times at the last minute (30 min before her shift). Some things left us uncertain about her experience. For example, after the baby drank out of his bottle and did not finish it all, she would put the used bottle in the fridge. A nanny that has an abundant amount of experience should know a baby cannot drink from a used bottle an hour after being drank from. We explained our situation and need for a nanny and we feel like she did not treat this experience like a job (often coming in a few minutes late). For Thanksgiving week SHE asked US which days we need her. We told her Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday. She agreed but did not do it. She showed up Monday and Tuesday and said she could not work Wednesday(after already agreeing). This week was her last. She told us on Wednesday that it was her last week saying she could work Friday. She then said she could work Thursday and Friday. It was very inconsiderate of her to not let us know she was actively looking, has been having interviews, and gave no two week notice. Needless to say, this was a job and was not treated as such.
