After graduating college, I had a difficult time finding a teaching position. I had worked for a respite care service company as a provider for many families with children and adults with special needs. I also worked for 2 years as a classroom assistant in a middle school and high school. I started working at the school I am still currently at, in 2012 and just completed my 7th year there as an elementary Life Skills teacher. I have completed my Masters Degree in Special Education. I have also worked as a coach for Special Olympics ever since I can remember; my Mother is also a Special Education teacher and the head coach for a Special Olympics team.
