Although I always knew that I wanted to work with children, it wasn't until high school that I realized my passion for working with individuals with special needs. After volunteering for a soccer team for children with special needs, I knew it was something I wanted to do for the rest of my life. In addition, I was a nanny to a family with two children, one of whom had special needs and was born with Fetal Alcohol Syndrome. As a result, he was diagnosed with ADHD, ODD, and Bipolar Disorder. I recently graduated with a degree in Elementary Special Education and am extremely excited to see where it takes me. After traveling to Haiti and Guatemala, I also hope to one day work with children with disabilities around the world.
