About Lauren

Hello, my name is Lauren. Tutoring has been a passion of mine for around 13 years now. I have worked for multiple schools and companies as a tutor/teacher, and now I want to branch out on my own. I worked as a tutor for a school in Vallejo called MIT Academy, as a teacher for North Oakland community Charter School, and as a tutor for a company. I have had many success stories. I have a real love for math, a gift for teaching it, and I absolutely love the reward of helping young children build confidence and succeed in school. I have a real knack for simplifying math concepts into different ways so students can understand. I like to break things down step by step. My biggest successes have been from working with students on a weekly basis. I have turned many F's to A's and B's in a matter of months. I can teach any math up to Calculus. Middle school math is my specialty but I can do anything k-12, I even know common core standards. I hope to hear from you, thank you.
