I have been a part of the LINKS program in my high school for three years. This is a class where I was paired one on one with a student whom I assisted in their general education classes. I also assisted a special education teacher in a classroom. The past two summers I taught swim lessons to special needs students. Through these experiences, I have decided to go to Calvin University to pursue a degree in special education.

Lauren is great with kids. She likes to keep busy and have fun. She doesn't just supervise, she becomes involved in the activities right along with the kids. She is able to structure kids' time while allowing them to be active and pursue things that interest them.
