About Lauren

Hi! I worked in public education for 17 years. I was a special education teacher for 9 years, middle school counselor for 3 and a high school counselor for 5. I'm currently an LPC/PLPC doing part-time counseling in state of MO and see children, adolescents and adults at a private practice. I'm in a play therapy program working towards becoming a Registered Play Therapist to enrich the counseling work I'm already doing! I have always had a heart for children and during the years I worked in public education and was raising my son(now 21!) I often babysat and also helped my cousins with their kids! I'd describe my personality as honest, caring, intentional. I like working with kids because I believe kids need as many positive influences in their lives as possible! I'm passionate about helping children on their journey to becoming the best version of themselves! I'm incredibly loyal and have a huge heart.
