About Lauren

Hi! I am a certified teacher in NY, eligible to teach students from birth to grade six in the areas of special education and general education. I am also certified in CT in the areas of special education and general education, eligible to teach students from the new born age through high school. I have a Master's degree in Early Childhood Education and B. A in English Literature. I have nine years of experience with teaching students with disabilities as well as students in a general education setting. For the past three years (and presently), I have been teaching in CT as a special education teacher for a specialized program in an elementary school that focuses on language based learning disabilities, such as dyslexia. I currently work with a small group of fourth and fifth grade students in a self contained setting and support their academic needs. My primary focus is to help your child grow and succeed in the areas of reading, writing, and math.
