About Lauren

Hello there! I am a recent graduate from Montana State University in Bozeman, MT. I graduated spring 2022 with a bachelors degree in Applied Mathematics and a minor in Astrobiology. I am currently an Admissions Counselor full-time for MSU but will be offering mathematics tutoring part-time. I spent 3 years as a student tutor, helping my peers with courses from algebra to introductory linear algebra and calculus. Tutoring and volunteer student teaching was my favorite part of my college experience and I am very excited to offer my services now that I have earned my degree. I have worked with non-traditional students and students who call themselves non math brained people. I work by encouraging confidence in the knowledge that anyone can be successful in math. I love to help students try alternative ways to learn material whether they need unique test taking skills, visual/graphical approaches or by taking them back to the basics and reworking old necessary skills for success.
