I am am experienced caregiver and educator for children of all ages. Most recently I worked with infants and toddlers at a small preschool. I secularly homeschooled my own 3 children for 18 years- two of my children through to college (one is currently a sophomore at Columbia University). As a caregiver I value curiosity and developmentally appropriate play based learning, as well as exploring the natural world. We cook together, play together, do lots of crafts and I love to read. Providing those I care for with love, kindness and a daily rhythm are a crucial for me. I have experience in elder care as well. I am a certified yoga teacher and have almost 15 years experience as a birth and grief doula. I am CPR certified. My main priority is being present for those I care for and of course having fun! I would love to answer any questions you might have concerning what to expect if I care for your child(ren) or loved one.

Lauren is a wonderful friend whom I now consider family. She is competent, kind, intelligent, and insightful when it comes to caring for children. I have watched her with her own children and with mine, and she is always willing to read a story on the couch or kick a ball in the yard. She provided childcare for my daughter, and I had a hard time getting my daughter to come home with me every time! She was just having too much fun! Lauren's home is set up with children in mind, with toys and art supplies that stimulate the imagination and inspire creative play. Her artistic spirit is apparent in all she does. Her big backyard and garden offer lovely opportunities for games and exploration of the natural world. I feel lucky to have Lauren in my life and in the lives of my children, and anyone else. I am certain, you would feel the same.
