I am actively seeking a position with the right family starting this September! I have been working with children with autism for over a decade. After nannying for a child with autism I became a behavioral therapist in Wisconsin with an ABA provider and started my career in this wonderful field! I worked as an AUII assistant in Wake County for 2 years, and was an AUII teacher for 3 years. I have also worked as an RBT and homeschool teacher. I currently work as a behavioral therapist for a lovely family. I have worked with ages 3-18 and dozens of children and families. My passion and special skill sets include intensive ABA data collection and interventions for self-injurious, destructive, aggressive, attention-seeking, obsessive-compulsive, and anxiety-driven behaviors. I seek to understand the function of the child's behavior, then use research based strategies to shape the behavior by providing the child with the appropriate communication tools to access their wants/needs.
