About Lauren

Creative, fun, grounded I like working with kids because I feel we connect on a similar level and I really enjoy talking to them and hearing things from their point of view. I'm looking for a job to continue to build my experience with kids and also to pay my bills while in school. I started working with kids when I was around 10 at my parents church! I did that for about six years before graduating to nanny and camp counselor jobs. In my spare time, I love to read and write. I'm studying screenwriting and costume design for film and TV in school and I frequently work on film sets doing the latter. I also love drawing, cooking, gardening, sewing, watching movies, knitting, going to museums and singing. My skills include creating a fun and playful environment for the kids, being practical and honest, and empathetic, good listening.
