About Lauren

I'd describe my personality as fun, creative, and caring. I started working with kids when I was 15. After college I became a counselor for ages 6-99. I taught children and young adults personal skills. I am now a 6th grade math teacher! I like working with kids because they are so funny and unique! I have learned that every child is so different in their own way. I understand that, respect it, and appreciate each and every personality! Children can be skeptical when it comes to a new babysitter, teacher, counselor, etc., so I like to spend the first few days building trust between me, the children, and the parents. From experience, playing board games, coloring, or making friendship bracelets have helped in building trust! In my spare time, I like doing crafts, DIYs, and make collages! I love to paint, draw, and organize! My skills include excellent communication, patient, and working well with others. I am very understanding and supportive.
