My name is Lauren and I have been working in child care on and off for 15 years. My first nanny job was for a 2-month-old boy who I stayed with for 7 years. Since then, I've been a nanny for 4 other children, 2 of whom were twin girls who I was with between the ages of 4 months to 4 years while the other 2 were both toddlers whom I was with for various lengths of time. When working with a family my goal is to help parents in whatever way they need me to, whether it's giving them a hand or just a break. During nap time I am happy to do any housework that needs to be done whether it's cleaning up, laundry, or putting a meal together. Lauren was recommended to me by a friend of mine and she has been such a blessing to my family. My husband and I both work full time and our son is usually just going to bed when we get home so we don't get much time to work with him on certain things. When Lauren first started with us my sons vocabulary was still just basic words (mama, dada, up, more, things like that) after a few months of him spending time with Lauren his vocabulary has exploded. He now knows all of his colors, shapes, body parts, clothes, he can name just about anything that you point to within the home as well as anything he sees on his walks to the park outside of the home such as cars trucks trees rocks clouds sky slide swing and so forth. It seems as if he's learning something new everyday and Lauren is 100% to thank for that. She is so patient and takes her time to explain what things are and how they work and what they do and has taught him so much in the short time they've spent together. Aside from his vocabulary we've also noticed a difference in his ability to go up and down stairs as well as climbing everything in sight, he's able to play catch and his fine mottor skills have greatly improved. We are so grateful for everything Lauren has done for us and I know you will be too.
