I from September to June, I teach children with a variety of special needs including: autism, cognitive, speech and language, physical, developmental, sensory processing, medical and learning disabilities. At age 7 I knew I wanted to be a special education teacher upon meeting a young girl named Allie. She had CP, and was non-verbal. I realized I could reach her where other adults could not. Every decision I've made since then has been in the interest of teaching children with educational and developmental challenges. I'm passionate about my work, and consider being a teacher my best and most important trait. I have a love of children with disabilities, and feel as though I have a special connection with them. I am available some nights and weekends, as well as summers.
