Hello! My name is Lauren and I am a West Hartford native. I have a degree in Biology and Psychology from UConn and am currently pursuing my MSW from my alma mater. I currently work for The Village full time in their foster care department as a foster parent licensor but have found that I have some extra time to commit to helping other local families while I finish up my degree. My previous role as a case worker allowed me to work with a very diverse population of children, ranging from children on the ASD spectrum to children with learning disabilities and children with behavioral disabilities. I love kids and pets and have years of experience with both, working for other families in West Hartford while in high school and undergrad and now with our foster kid clients at my current place of employment. I speak fluent Spanish and have experience in tutoring children in the language as well. I am CPR certified and have my own mode of transportation I can also send my resume upon request.

I was nervous with this time being the first time I hired a sitter for my 3 year old. Lauren agreed to meet ahead of time and my normally shy daughter warmed to her immediately. I knew my daughter was in great hands and got updates on what they were playing with for several hours. Lauren put my nerves at ease and my daughter spent the night telling me all of her favorite things they did asking when I could leave again so they could play again.
