I have worked in special education for the past 6 years. I started working as a paraprofessional in a resource room at a title-I charter school. The students I worked with at this time functioned in a general education setting with assistance from myself and other paraprofessionals. Following this, I worked at a private school that catered solely to students on the autism spectrum. I worked as a special education teach in a junior high school classroom. All of my students had the diagnosis of autism and most of them had a second diagnosis (behavioral, ADD, ADHD, bipolar, LD, dyslexia, etc.). Prior to this, I regularly babysat children ranging from 2 months to young teen. I am a certified teacher with my Bachelor of Science from Northern Arizona University. I also have my fingerprint clearance card. I enjoy working with children of all ages and ability levels and pride myself in being able to adapt to meet each child's individual needs.
