I don’t doubt any of Lauren’s love for pets that she writes in her profile. That is the most basic requirement any of us who are prospecting a caregiver of our most beloved pets or children would have. A month ago I paid for Lauren (travel time) to come for a home visit prior to any obligations we planned or made together. I was impressed. She got along well with my special needs dog who I was clear could NOT be left alone. She seemed mature for her age and confident. I was excited I found a “Match!” So we agreed and made plans for her care. However, 48 hours before I was to leave for my trip, Lauren texted me that she was unable to fulfill her promise “because she had a business meeting.” I would yield to a death or personal family emergency for a reason to cancel our commitments, but a business meeting? I take the time to leave his review only to warn a prospecting family that Lauren may personally prioritize her other obligations over those you expect she has made with you. I have no animus but I am sorely disappointed and in spite of her defense that she gave me “notice,” I may now need to cancel my travel plans for Lauren’s “Business” meeting. Just a heads up…
