About Lauren

Over the last two years, I've been grateful to work with children in a Montessori setting as a substitute teacher and then teaching assistant. Most of my classroom experience is with children ages 2-6, with some experience in early elementary. I'm known for my gentle approach and ability to hold space for children while maintaining a calm presence. I adore children's natural curiosity and joy, and seek to instill a sense of independence with developmentally appropriate support and encouragement. I love exploring the natural world with children and supporting their inner artist. I am well-trained to mediate conflict between children in developmentally appropriate ways that support their social-emotional education. My upmost priority is always a child's safety; I completed a 4-hour Red Cross certification course in first aid and CPR for adults, children and infants within the last year.
